CH alps/Dolomiti in July?

Someone said that July in French alps very busy; We're intending to spend about a week riding in the Alto Adige , and while my experience is usually August is more busy in CH (having spent a lot of time in the Engadine area). Thoughts on Alps further east? And if we were going to base ourselves in two different cities for a few days each and every day, what would you suggest? Merano, or ....?

Question: my german motorcycle partner thinks that july in the alps / Dolomiti will be very busy and we want to have a room to do a tour, but I think there are always lots of "room free" everywhere. Thoughts?

July, August & September are Holidays in Europe.
Maybe July can be better then August in Italy. Maybe France can be the better Choice. It is a big country.

alto aldige is very busy and crowded in juli / august / sept, especially the higher passes- i would go a little more south to asiago https://www.google.de/maps/place/45...5!1s0x0:0x0!7e2!8m2!3d45.8733416!4d11.5072097

where it is by far not so crowded but very kurvy in every direction
